TimeVeil privacy
Updated October 23, 2026
TimeVeil keeps zones, favourites, and site rules on your device. Strict mode uses the debugger API and the browser shows its own banner while that is on.
Data stays on the device
Favourites, site rules, and the zone for a tab are stored in the browser on that device. Kitly Apps cannot see them. Uninstalling TimeVeil removes that local storage from the browser profile.
No collection
TimeVeil does not collect the sites you visit or the zone you pick. It does not sell or share data. There is no analytics in the extension and no remote code.
Permissions
TimeVeil requests storage, scripting, and debugger. Each permission is used only for the reason below.
- storage
- Keeps favourite zones, site rules, and settings in the browser on this device.
- scripting
- Applies the zone you chose on the page you are using.
- debugger
- Strict mode uses the debugger API. While it is on, Chrome or Edge shows a banner that TimeVeil is debugging this browser. Cancel on that banner turns strict mode off.
When this site opens
TimeVeil opens this website after you install it, and again after a major or minor update, so you can see how to start and what changed. Those visits do not include your zone.
- After install, TimeVeil opens the welcome page.
- After a major or minor update, TimeVeil opens the what's-new page.
Opening those pages is a normal visit to this website. TimeVeil does not send zones or site rules with the visit. Cookies and measurement on the website are described in the site privacy policy. The extension itself has no analytics and no remote code.
