PasteRescue privacy
Updated October 23, 2026
PasteRescue keeps the per-site toggle on your device. Force paste uses the clipboard only to type into a field you chose. The extension does not collect what you paste.
Data stays on the device
The per-site toggle and settings are stored in the browser on that device. Kitly Apps cannot see them. Uninstalling PasteRescue removes that local storage from the browser profile.
No collection
PasteRescue does not collect clipboard contents, page text, or browsing history. It does not sell or share data. There is no analytics in the extension and no remote code.
Permissions
PasteRescue requests scripting, storage, and clipboardRead. Each permission is used only for the reason below.
- scripting
- Re-enables paste, copy, cut, right-click, selection, and drag, and removes overlays, on a site you turn on.
- storage
- Keeps the per-site toggle and settings in the browser on this device.
- clipboardRead
- Force paste reads the clipboard so it can type into a field that blocks paste. The clipboard is not sent off the device.
When this site opens
PasteRescue opens this website after you install it, and again after a major or minor update, so you can see how to start and what changed. Those visits do not include what you paste.
- After install, PasteRescue opens the welcome page.
- After a major or minor update, PasteRescue opens the what's-new page.
Opening those pages is a normal visit to this website. PasteRescue does not send clipboard contents with the visit. Cookies and measurement on the website are described in the site privacy policy. The extension itself has no analytics and no remote code.
