HueFont privacy
Updated October 23, 2026
HueFont keeps colours, palettes, and font details on your device. The extension does not collect them. It has no host permissions and runs only when you activate it.
Data stays on the device
History, favourites, palettes, and settings are stored in the browser on that device. Kitly Apps cannot see them. Uninstalling HueFont removes that local storage from the browser profile.
No collection
HueFont does not collect the pages you visit, the colours you pick, or personal data. It does not sell or share data. There is no analytics in the extension and no remote code. HueFont has no host permissions.
Permissions
HueFont requests activeTab, scripting, storage, and clipboardWrite. Each permission is used only for the reason below.
- activeTab
- Used when you click HueFont or press a shortcut, to read the tab you chose. It does not watch tabs in the background, and HueFont has no host permissions.
- scripting
- Runs the colour picker and font finder on the page you chose, including the rendered font and the colours already on that page.
- storage
- Keeps history, favourites, palettes, and settings in the browser on this device.
- clipboardWrite
- Copies a colour value or CSS when you choose copy.
When this site opens
HueFont opens this website after you install it, and again after a major or minor update, so you can see how to start and what changed. Those visits do not include colours or font details.
- After install, HueFont opens the welcome page.
- After a major or minor update, HueFont opens the what's-new page.
Opening those pages is a normal visit to this website. HueFont does not send picked colours, palettes, or font details with the visit. Cookies and measurement on the website are described in the site privacy policy. The extension itself has no analytics and no remote code.
